Hey folks
Just thought I'd share another of my non-lithium battery tech purchases recently: 1414 Degrees.
This is a long bet stock for me, although perhaps not so far off in the future there will be some decent growth based on recent movements (up 48% over a year, with a recent spike higher before a consolidation period)...
1414 Degrees develop a "Thermal Energy Storage Solution" which fills an important gap for highly efficient energy storage over the medium term, particularly suitable for industrial and commercial grade heating applications - brewers, foundries, waste treatment, hydroponics, building heat - anything a boiler might have done in the past. The great part about their technology though is that it is ALSO able to provide a constant and stable electricity flow. This means it can also earn money for a through grid stability services, electricity provision, AND save money through the provision of heat that would otherwise be provided by burning expensive natural gas or oil.
I think this company is likely to grow to be a very significant player in the Australian industrial energy storage market, and probably will export it's tech as well. I generally only invest around $150-200 per company at the moment because I'm working class and just buying in each fortnightly paycheck at the moment. But I've spent about $400 on 1414 Degrees stocks so far because I've been following the company for several years before I ever started ASX trading.
Worth investing in, IMO.

Interesting company - good to see they are getting support from Government. Technology is sound but as they indicated in their last investor update their market success depends upon partnering with other suppliers to put a scalable and marketable product to market. I expect a well run company in this market to develop in the long term (10 years) especially if Carbon pricing came in. This is big business in Europe but not so much in Asia and America except for the largest plants. Thanks for the post I will keep an eye on them also.
Kinect version 1414 and version 1473

Does anyone know the actual differences of these two I know 1473 enables windows support but does it have improvements in Kinect game on 360 ?personally I feel like 1414 tracks abit better even when I go to calibrate the Kinect generally the 1473 doesn’t get a clean look compared to the 1414.
If anyone really knows the difference pleas let me know.
